ReceiptVault is an offline-first application. We do not operate a backend for the app, require an account, display advertising, or include analytics or tracking SDKs.

1. Information we collect

ReceiptVault does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share your receipts, purchase records, warranty records, images, reminders, search history, or usage activity with us or third parties.

2. Information stored on your device

Information you add to ReceiptVault is stored locally on your device. This may include receipt images, recognized text, merchant and product details, purchase amounts and dates, categories, tags, warranty information, return deadlines, reminders, and app preferences.

3. On-device processing

Receipt and document recognition is performed on your device using Apple Vision. ReceiptVault does not send images or recognized text to a remote OCR service.

4. Device permissions

• Camera: Used only when you choose to photograph a receipt or warranty document.
• Photo Library: Used only when you choose images to import.
• Notifications: Used to deliver reminders that are scheduled locally on your device.
• Face ID: Used, when enabled by you, to restrict access to the app. Authentication is handled by iOS and ReceiptVault does not receive or store biometric data.

You can change these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

5. Exports, backups, and sharing

ReceiptVault creates PDF, CSV, and backup files only when you request them. When you use the iOS share sheet, you choose the destination. Any file you share is then handled by the selected destination and its privacy practices.

6. Data retention and deletion

Your records remain on your device until you delete them. You can delete individual records, use Recently Deleted where available, or remove all ReceiptVault data from Settings. Deleting the app also removes its locally stored app data, subject to standard iOS behavior and any device backups you control.

7. Children’s privacy

ReceiptVault does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users because the app does not transmit personal data to us.

8. Security

ReceiptVault relies on iOS security features and Apple data protection. You are responsible for protecting access to your device and for safeguarding any files you export.

9. Changes to this policy

If ReceiptVault’s data practices change, we will update this policy and its effective date before those changes apply.
